Unfortunately, the curls wouldn't stay if Landon was getting in the car seat or taking a nap. If I wasn't there to put a little water on them and scrunch them back up, his sweet little curls would turn to frizzy tangles. So thus began the discussion of getting his haircut...which lasted for about 4 months!
Finally, yesterday morning I woke up and randomly decided that this was the day for Landon's first haircut! This was big for me...I tend to get attached to things and give them deep sentimental meanings, thus being unable to let go...Landon's curls...his diaper cake from one of his showers...my childhood stuffed animal, Miss Piggy (who is still in my closet by the way!)...the list could continue. Haha!
Anyways, I decided yesterday that it was time to get his haircut! Philip was fine with whatever, so I called and made an appointment at Big League Barber. It was an awesome place with little tvs at each station and lots of Georgia sports memorabilia. The woman who cut his hair, Barbara, was fantastic! She was so patient with him, as he was being super wiggly and skiddish with a stranger cutting his hair! She also gave him 2 suckers when he left! We'll definitely go back there for all his future haircuts!!
After the haircut, we went to eat at Chuck E. Cheese with the Meltons. I don't think Landon could have been a happier kid with his new big boy haircut and fun at Chuck E.'s with his best friend!
