A Father's Love

When we were in college and dating, my sister Emily was in elementary school. One day a week, Philip would drive the 20 minutes to my house, pick Emily up, take her to breakfast, then drop her off at school. This time was so important to Emily, as Michelle and I were seven/eight years older, and Emily often felt a little left out. As we were dating, I watched Philip interact with Emily and other children, and imagined that he would be a wonderful father some day.

Now that "some day" is here, I must say that I was correct. Philip is an amazing Daddy! He works so hard to balance being a husband, father, principal, and graduate student, and he does a dang good job! Philip loves his boys, and it shows in everything he does. I am truly blessed to call him my husband and the father of my children.
