Owen is 2 Months Old!

Our precious little Owen turned 2 months old on January 14th. He is a sweet little boy and very laid back most of the time. We had his check up today, and he weighs 12 lbs. He is 23 1/4 inches long. This puts him in the 54th percentile for weight and the 57th% percentile for height. Poor baby had to get his shots today, which of course was awful for Mommy, but he did great. He only cried for about 10 seconds and has spent the remainder of the day resting.

At two months old, Owen loves to watch his big brother and lay on his tummy. He is very strong and can hold his head up quite high. He rolled over for the first time when he was two weeks old (about five times in one day), but then didn't roll over again until a few days ago. He only rolled over a couple of times that day, but we'll see if he does it again in the next week or so. Of all the things Owen likes, his favorite thing is to be held in the Moby wrap or Baby Bjorn. If he is at all fussy, just put him in one of the carriers, and he is over it and happy!

Owen smiled his first "real" smile about a week ago, but still does lots of sleepy smiles. He smiles randomly during the day, but not necessarily at you when you are talking to him or trying to make him smile. That is one of the things I am looking forward to over the next month or so. Owen has started cooing a good bit, which is just so cute! He still eats every three hours generally, but usually gives us at least one 4-6 hour stretch at night. The other day at Bundles of Joy, he ate almost 5 ounces in a feeding!

We sure do love our sweet Owen and can't believe he is already two months old! We really wish he would stay tiny forever, but it is a lot of fun to see him growing and changing every day!
