Man Oh Man! The last week of summer. Such a bittersweet week.
We had a blast trying to squeeze out every ounce of fun! On Monday we went to Pump It Up with our friends. Of course the kiddos had a blast! Philip had such fun on Monday night cooking a country dinner! It was hard for him to do things like that when he was writing his dissertation, so he was really excited and his country feast was DELICIOUS!! Since we had mashed potatoes and creamed corn, we let Owen eat his first table food!
I had to work Tuesday and Wednesday. :( But Tuesday night we went swimming as a family, and that's when we realized that Landon could SWIM!
On Thursday, we went with our Bundles of Joy friends to Memorial Park. It is such a wonderful park with a zoo, playground, and lake. The kids loved seeing the animals at the zoo, and feeding the ducks at the lake. After playing at Memorial Park, we went to a Japanese restaurant in town. What fun! The restaurant was perfect! They gave us this area off to the side with no one else around! We all got to sit on pillows and of course watch our chef cook for us! Plus it's only $6 at lunch!! I am just so thankful for this group of friends who are experiencing similar things with kids so close in age! It really helps to have these mommies to talk to about anything and everything, and I am so glad that our babies get to grow up together!
Friday we went to the splash pad with some of our friends from JJH and Casey babysat the kiddos while I had a webinar for my class and Philip went to a Braves game with his friends. The boys and I then took him out to dinner to say, "thanks!" Of course the boys had so much fun with Uncle Casey as always!! We have certainly been blessed to have him with us this summer!
On Saturday some JJH friends and I threw a baby shower for our sweet friend Lindsay Ann! She is pregnant with twin girls, and BOY ARE WE EXCITED!! They are going to be some sweet, fun, and gorgeous girls! She is such a special friend, and I'm glad we were able to shower her and her precious babies!
What an amazing last week of summer! I loved every extra second I got to spend with my family and friends and especially my boys! I am so blessed to have a job that I love that gives me time every summer to just slow down, play, and enjoy life!

What a fun last week of summer! WHOOP! But sad at the same time! Thank you again for the most perfect shower! I have the best friends ever! :)
