Graduation Day!

Philip officially graduated from UGA with his Ph.D. in Middle Grades Education on August 2nd! It was a beautiful day, and we were so proud to watch him get hooded on stage! So much of Philip's family was able to come up to celebrate with him! We enjoyed getting to see him graduate, and then went to eat at the Hilltop Grille! Philip was so happy to get to wear his fancy gown and bask in his moment of glory after working so hard for seven years to finish this degree! I think it was worth every moment as he stood on that stage! I know he would say the same!

After graduation, Philip's Mom and Granny asked if they could take the boys over to Atlanta for the weekend to stay at Aunt Sharon's house. We missed the boys, but were able to enjoy the weekend to ourselves. On Friday night, we went out to eat downtown with Casey, and the rest of the weekend we just hung out and got a ton done around the house! Philip got a Big Green Egg as a graduation present partly from my parents and partly from me and the boys! He had so much fun cooking on it, and has been having a blast with it ever since! 

We are just so incredibly proud of Dr. Philip Brown, and can't wait to see the amazing things he does with all of his hard work and knowledge!! 

Now the Drs. Brown can really throw down!!
