What Did He Just Say?

This phrase has been uttered by Philip and I at least once a day lately! We have been shocked by the things Landon is saying and doing!

Here's a few cute and funny stories...

Last weekend we were riding in the car and I asked Landon the following questions really just trying to engage him and keep him entertained. Philip and I were shocked that he could answer...well at least most of them! These are his true answers in that moment- unprompted!

1) What is your favorite color? Red
2) Who is your best friend? Austin
3) Who is your best friend at school? Tripp
4) Who is your other best friend at school? James
5) Who is your favorite brother? Owie
6) What is your favorite movie? Monsters
7) What is your favorite food? KJ
8) Who is your favorite dog? chocolate
Haha! Not sure why he mixed those last two up!!

There are a few things that Landon says that crack us up!

He has called his number 2 "turtles" since about February when he goes to the potty. Silly story about how that happened that I'll spare you for now. But now if he goes really well in the potty he calls them "Go Dawg Turtles!"

We also love it when Landon asks for "chocolate milk". There is just something so stinking cute about the way he says it! This week when we didn't get his chocolate milk for him soon enough, he went into the kitchen, pulled a chair up to the counter, and tried to pour his own chocolate milk, which resulted in an entire sippy cup full of Nesquick powder and chocolate everywhere!!

Another funny thing he says is "Ice cold water...two more minutes!" When Philip and his buddies went to Vegas several years back, there was a man selling water on the street. He would yell, "Ice cold water, two dollars!" Something about the way he said it or his persistence was so funny to Philip and Clay, and they've said it ever since! Well, Landon has picked up the phrase except he joined it with me always saying, "Hang on, just give me two more minutes!" haha!!! It's really cute and he says it all the time!

Landon will break out in song any moment! His favorites lately are "little red wagon", "ABCs", "More we get together", and "rain rain go away!"

Another sweet thing he'll do is make the sign of the cross. He says, "father, holy spirit" and the way he says it is just cuter than words!

We have also been impressed that he can now describe things with adjectives! "Daddy strong lift", "Cup too big", "Landon bag too heavy"!

I understand to the reader all these things are not as cute as they are to us because 1) half of what makes them cute is hearing Landon saying them! 2) We just can't believe he's growing up and showing his little personality!!

But I wanted to write these things down so I'll always remember!! I'm sure more is to come!!
