East Coast Exploration: Cape Cod

Next on our trip, we journeyed over to Cape Cod. We stayed in a great little inn in Yarmouth. The first evening, we went to a seafood restaurant on the water. Philip got lobster, and I got crab cakes and lobster bisque. It was absolutely delicious! Landon loved the restaurant because they had a little boat in front he could drive. After dinner, we walked on the beach and Owen got to put his feet in the sand for the very first time!! He loved it!! (And of course Landon did too!!)

Wednesday, we went to the beach for most of the day. After the boys napped, we had a picnic at a great park Philip found while he was running. It had a "Choo Choo" with tunnels, ladders, and benches in the different cars. We then ended our night eating ice cream and watching the sunset at a pier.

Thursday, we took the ferry to Martha's Vineyard. The boys loved the boat. We walked around the island, played at the park, ate at a little restaurant on the water, and Lman rode the carousel. By this night, we were all pretty tired, especially L! He fell asleep at 4:30 and slept till 6:30 the next morning!

On Friday, it rained ALL day, so we went to see Monsters U and took a nice long nap. Sometimes rainy days are the BEST!!

By the evening, the rain had stopped, so we took the boys to play putt putt. Landon had been talking about the place all week because it had huge water fountains and a giant skull! Owen was so happy in the Bjorn playing with Daddy! He laughed and kicked the whole time! Landon had a blast playing golf! When it was his turn, he would run right to the hole, put his ball next to it, putt the ball in the hole, then say, "Yay Landon!" He would look up to receive cheers from all the families that started watching him, and he was in hog heaven getting all that attention!!

Today we are heading to Hole in the Wall Gang camp to meet Emmy and Hunter! So sad to say goodbye to the cape, but we can't wait to see E and H!! Praying for a little sun to sneak in to all these rainy forecasts!
