We had a blast at the Shadydale Rodeo Friday night! We met Sharon in Madison to get Landon. She was so sweet and took Owen with her back to our house so he wouldn't have to stay out too late (since the rodeo didn't even start until 8!). Before the started back, we couldn't help but to get some cute pictures of them on the streets of Madison.
After Sharon and Owen left, Philip, Landon, and I enjoyed dinner at the Chophouse! It is always one of our favorite restaurants!
Then we headed to the rodeo. Landon was so excited. He talked about the rodeo the whole way in the car. He couldn't wait to see the horses and cows and talked about the money he had in his pocket for the rodeo. Philip was super excited too! When we pulled in, he said, "I'm so excited I can hardly stand it!" I thought that was just too cute!!
When we arrived, we found our spot in the stands. Landon was amazed from start to finish! He loved watching each of the competitors and the clown! He kept talking about everything he was seeing and would just laugh and clap!
At one point, The clown blew up some kind of dynomite. Landon got really afraid that the clown was hurt. I held him tight though and told him the clown was okay, that he was just being silly and doing tricks. He started laughing and saying, "Silly clown! Pop!" He has talked about the clown and the pop all weekend!
We stayed until 10:30 right before the bull riding. We would have loved to stay longer but the parking attendant told us that it would probably be a 3 hour wait to get out of the parking lot. We just couldn't risk that this year. Maybe next time! We will definitely make the Shadydale Rodeo an annual family tradition!
