Our drive to Boston was not as we expected! It was supposed to take 7 hours to get from DC to Boston, but there was SO much traffic it ended up taking us 12 hours! It was pretty frustrating!! Luckily the boys were able to sleep most of the drive, and when they were awake while we were stuck in traffic and not moving, I climbed in the back to help keep them entertained. They thought me using Landon's foot as a microphone was pretty amusing! They really are great little travelers and flexible kiddos!
We spent two days exploring Boston. It was so incredibly hot...95 degrees!! (I thought we left these hot temps in Georgia?) We bought tickets for one of those bus tours so we wouldn't have to walk in the heat. It was really perfect with both of the boys and the heat! We got off the bus at the harbor and Harvard. We really wanted to get off at the public library, Fenway park, and Boston Common/Boston Public Gardens, but we ran out of time. Philip's favorite memory of Boston is when Landon pottied on the grounds of Harvard (Newly potty trained two year old + locked buildings= Gotta do what you've gotta do!) Hope admissions wasn't watching! Haha!
We also took a boat out on the Harbor which was really pretty! (Came with our bus tour!) Landon talked about riding the boat ALL day! Then when we sat down on the boat, poor boy fell asleep right before the boat embarked!
We had a wonderful time and will have to come back to Boston again sometime! The boys loved it and made friends everywhere we went! It's such a great city!
On our drive from Boston to Cape Cod, we stopped in Plymouth to see Plymouth Rock! I was a little excited and Plymouth was just beautiful!!! Landon was dying to climb the trees and kept saying, "I need to climb a tree!"
