Landon's 18 Month Appointment

This week, Landon had his 18 month appointment! He is growing so fast!

He weighed 21 lbs 4 oz putting him in the 2nd percentile. Woohoo! We've gone up a percentile. Haha!

His height was 31 1/4 inches putting him in the 17th percentile.

His head circumference was 18 1/4 inches putting him in the 12th percentile.

They said that Landon looked great overall! They said his iron count was perfect which meant he was getting plenty of nutrition from his "real people food."

They asked lots of questions about his development, and when the nurse asked if he knew at least 5 body parts, I said "yes". But of course when the nurse asked Landon to point to his nose, he just stared at her. I promised her that he knew the body parts, that he was just being stubborn and shy. She believed me, but I thought it was super funny when Sharon sent me this video this weekend...three days after the appointment... of Landon not only identifying tons of random body parts but saying them as well. Haha!

While we were waiting for Dr. McCorkle, I was trying to prepare Landon since he really doesn't like seeing the doctor. This would be due to all the shots and ear checks over the past several months. I kept telling him that Dr. McCorkle was going to come in and listen to his heartbeat and check his ears. We practiced saying, "Hi Dr. McCorkle." Although he still shyed up majorly and clung to me/cried while Dr. McCorkle checked him, when he walked in, Landon waved and said, "Hi, Corkle." It was super cute!

He got two shots (one being a flu shot) and quit crying pretty quickly...especially when he got a sucker! Landon Brown LOVES a sucker!!

I love my little 18 month old!
