Landon is a creative boy who loves to use his imagination! When he got a soccer goal for his birthday, he spent the first five minutes playing with it the regular way, then came up with two other unique games he could play with the goal! With one game, the goal became a bridge and you had to push the ball through the goal out the other side. The other game required you to stand the soccer goal up and try to knock it down!
Landon loves to dress up and pretend to be a super hero, Jack the Pirate, or (don't tell his Daddy) Elsa from Frozen!! Haha! He also loves to tell made-up stories with us about baseball, football, and soccer games that get disrupted by dinosaurs and monsters! He asks me "why" about 800 times a day!
Landon is spunky and knows what he wants, but he has a compassionate heart! He makes sure that his brother has toys like he does and is generally very concerned about others. He prays for people every night and wants to have a reason for each person he prays for! At his birthday party, he went around and started hand delivering all the treat bags to his friends. Philip asked if I told him to do that, but I did not. He came up with the idea all on his own. It made me a very proud Mommy, and especially to see the look of happiness on his face when he gave his friends the gifts!
He loves to talk and sing, and is busy like his Daddy (and Mommy). He never sits still unless it is nap-time, and then he will be happy to take a 3 or 4 hour nap!
He had a great birthday! We woke up in the morning, ate birthday pancakes, opened presents, and played with his new toys! Then we took Owen to school and went out to eat at Inoko's (mine and Landon's fave restaurant!) and bought things for his party. We went back home, took naps, and then headed back out for a night of fun at Chuck E. Cheese with Emily and Owen!
What a great birthday for a FANTASTIC three year old!!
