We had a wonderful Easter weekend! My family came into town on Friday night, and we just had a blast enjoying each other and our family Easter traditions! Emily even spent the night all weekend!! We had a rainy egg hunt at our friends' house on Friday, then spent the rest of the weekend laying low at home. We dyed eggs, made a bunny cake, had an Easter egg hunt, and a wonderful Sunday lunch! Of course we went to church on Sunday and talked with the boys about the meaning of Easter. The Easter bunny even visited the boys on Saturday night! In between all the traditions we did a lot of playing with swords, blowing bubbles, and movie watching!
I think everyone's favorite quotes of the weekend were when Landon was concerned about the eggs dying! He said, "But Mommy I don't want the eggs to die!" then right before we dyed them he looked at the eggs and so seriously said," Okay eggs, it's time to die!" Haha! So cute! I think he was glad to see we were just coloring the eggs!!
What a fabulous Easter weekend with family! ! It's so wonderful when we can spend several days together and just play!
If only we'd had the Parkersons it would have been perfect! Maybe we can talk them into coming next year...:)
