Resting, Rejuvenating, and Rooting on the Dawgs

Last weekend we did a lot of nothing! Actually when I got to the house on Friday night, I didn't leave the house until Sunday afternoon!

I didn't feel great and actually caught a stomach bug on Saturday. However, I still enjoyed snuggling the babies on our porch, watching UGA BEAT LSU (sorry Mom and Dad), and playing outside!!

I was feeling better by Sunday afternoon, and we ended up having an impromptu cookout with our awesome neighbors Sunday evening which led to Philip going with our neighbor, Beau, to the Falcons game Sunday night! He had a blast, and I think enjoyed a guy's night!

One thing I came to the conclusion on this weekend...

Anytime Landon and Owen are alone and one is screaming, there's TROUBLE! Anytime they are alone and there is quiet, there's TROUBLE! AND anytime they are alone and there is hysterical laughter from one or both...THERE'S TROUBLE!

Now don't get me wrong, very rarely do I leave them alone, but if I am ever able to get them playing for a minute so I can sit down wash some clothes or make dinner, I take that moment! Anyways, such a moment occured this weekend where the boys crawled off to my room and I was doing something in the kitchen. All of a sudden, I hear hysterical laughter coming from my room and run in to realize that one (or both) of them have taken all the toilet paper off the roll, and they are both crawling and rolling around in the toilet paper having the time of their lives!  Maybe it's worth the $.75 that roll probably cost.

Here's another funny story about these two! Landon is OBSESSED with tackling people and playing football. Probably the most common reason he finds himself on the red rug for time out is for "tackling Owie." Well this weekend he tried to solve the problem of me never letting him tackle his brother. He ran into the living room, brought back this lego box and North Oconee hat. Then said to me, "Mommy, Owie and I have helmets. Can I tackle Owie?" Sorry Landon! That is still a NO!!
