Late December Christmas Festivities

The second half of December was full of lots of festivities to celebrate the Christmas season. We also continued many traditions that we started when the boys were babies and even began some new traditions.

We made Rudolph pancakes and were judges in a local neighborhood's decoration contest! One of our favorite things to do during the holiday season! Of course we had to stop by Santa Land on the way to judge the lights! The boys loved seeing the lights and helped us out by shouting, "Ahoy Christmas Lights!" everytime they saw a house lit up!

We dressed in our jammies for school for Polar Express Day!

This isn't actually a Christmas activity, but we celebrated the last day of school before the break with a little football and Inokos! Yummy!

We decorated gingerbread houses and were so excited when they were actually still standing!

We took cutie Christmas pictures by the fireplace one Sunday before church.

We wrapped lots of presents, and the boys liked playing with the boxes more than the idea of the presents. :)

We baked a birthday cake for baby Jesus!

We went to see Rudolph at the Center for Puppetry Arts in Atlanta with our dear friends Abby and Raleigh!

We made Paw Paw Backes and Popsy's cornbread dressing and had a dance party in the kitchen with Daddy!

We looked for our elf, Neigh, everyday to see where he was hiding! On Christmas Eve, he left us a special note with things to do to show generosity and kindness to others.

So many special traditions that make the holidays such a fun and memorable time not only for the boys, but for Philip and I too. We will cherish these times forever!
