Christmas Day

What a special day to celebrate the birth of Jesus, family, and the joy of giving! Philip and I woke up super early (around 5 am) too excited for the boys to wake up. Casey ended up crashing on the couch, so once we started moving around he woke up too! While we waited for the little boys to wake up, Philip and Casey started breakfast, then Philip worked on getting the turkey cooking on the Green Egg.

The boys woke up around 6 or 6:30, and then the fun just continued ALL day! Landon and Owen were so much fun to watch open presents! It took them until 10:30 or so to finish opening presents because they stopped and played with everything they received. They loved all their gifts so much!
The boys were incredibly blessed to not only get presents from Santa, but from Uncle Casey, Grandaddy, and BB as well!

After presents we had a wonderful Christmas lunch complete with turkey (cooked by Philip on the Green Egg), ham, sweet potatoes, cornbread dressing, rice, macaroni and cheese, and green beans! After lunch, the boys played and played with their toys until nap and then again until dark!

What a wonderful Christmas day! We missed being with the Backes side of the family on Christmas Day, but look forward to a repeat when they come up this week!!!

The boys asked Santa for a run through banner, scooters, and a sled!

The boys have LOVED their fishing game from Uncle Casey!

The boys have had so much fun with their motion sensored Thomas the Train from Grandaddy!

Cooking the pancakes with Daddy!

The boys were SO excited about their Gator from BB! They were so glad they could ride together! And they have already started plotting about putting Lincoln in the back! (Don't think so boys!!)

Owen loves to steal Mommy's coke!

Finally a nice day outside to go and play!

Such a wonderful Christmas Day!
