Early December Christmas Festivities

Christmas is such a magical time, especially with small children. We have really enjoyed doing lots of fun things together to celebrate since early December!

We always get our Christmas tree from a Christmas Tree farm not too far from our house. We used to cut down our own tree there, but then we decided that we liked the pre-cut trees better. :) We still love to go there though because they have a petting zoo, snacks, a hayride, and Santa! (Even though the boys didn't want to see Santa this year! )

Asking endless questions....

We just love decorating for Christmas! I wish we could leave the decor up for months!! :) (Actually I usually do leave my nativity up until at least February!)

This year we took about 3 days to decorate our house and tree! :) Usually we knock it out in a day or less! Not this year, though! We just kept decorating it in stages. When we got tired of putting on lights or ornaments, we would stop and pick up the next day where we left off! Decorating is supposed to be fun, so the moment it stopped being fun, we stopped decorating!

Here are some of the boys favorite decor, and I'll have to post the rest in a later post b/c I realized I didn't have pictures on my phone.

The boys love their felt tree that Aunt Sharon made them several years ago!

Down the street from our house we have an awesome house of lights. We like to call it Santa Land, and the boys just LOVE the interactive decorations! We already went in the daytime, but will go again later when it is dark.

This year was our first year going to the Athens Christmas Parade. It was really wonderful. Downtown Athens is so gorgeous all decorated for Christmas! The boys absolutely loved it as you can see from their excited faces!

I personally LOVE watching Christmas movies, and we sure watch our share of them over the holiday season!!

The boys have lots of Christmas shirts, and one of the things that has been a tradition at our house since Landon's first Christmas was that EVERY DAY the boys wear a Christmas shirt to school. :) A little cheesy, but oh so fun! This particular morning I was 29 weeks pregnant, so I wanted to capture a pic and of course the boys jumped in with their favorite Christmas shirts!

Our school has so many fun holiday traditions! We celebrate the 12 days of Christmas and do something fun each day! We also get Secret Snowflakes and shower each other with gifts! This cute ornament (and all the stuff to make the fingerprint snowmen) was given to me by my secret snowflake this year. There is also a picture below of myself with two of my sweet friends celebrating "Holiday Headgear" day! (Even Lincoln wore a hat!)

So far early December has been full of fabulous Christmas tradtions!! And the fun will only continue through the rest of the month!
