Happy New Year 2014

A year has once again flown by. This year was filled with adventure and relaxing snuggles, working and playing with the littles, craziness and well...even more craziness! But it was wonderful. Philip and I wouldn't trade a single second!

I looked back at my Happy New Year post from 2013 and was happy to see that both Philip and I met our goals. Philip graduated with his Ph.d. and I actually did a pretty good job of cutting myself some slack, calming down on my to-do lists, and just allowing myself to play with my family!

For next year, I really want to join a book club and spend some time writing. Philip wants to get his physical self healthy (which I really would like to become healthier too!) and work on his public speaking.

To ring in the new year we went to a local Japanese restaurant with friends and then hung out at the Melton's house. The kids played, we ate ice cream sundaes, lit sparklers, and played a hilarious game of charades. Of course we are home before midnight, but we had a great time celebrating the ending of a fantastic year in our lives and the beginning of a new year of adventure and possibilities!
