Yesterday was Philip's birthday! He is now the ripe old age of 33!! We had fun celebrating this weekend and escaped to the mountains. We stopped at Bass Pro Shop along the way to Amicalola Falls so he could spend the bday gift card from my parents. We all had fun exploring the store, and Landon realized his love for beef jerky, which sounds like "big turkey" when he says it! Ha!
After Bass Pro Shop, we went to Amicalola Falls where we enjoyed a picnic lunch, hiking up to the falls, and splashing in the springs. The weather has been gorgeous, so we loved being outside.
Poor Owie bug has been sick with the rotovirus and couldn't go back to daycare until today, so sweet Aunt Sharon came on Monday to stay with him (Philip and I had been out with him multiple days last week). The boys loved playing with Aunt Sharon, and of course she brought them some fun presents (including some pretty awesome shoes!)
For dinner, Emily and Casey came to cook out with us and celebrate with Philip. We ate, talked, and played a little football in the yard. Landon's favorite part was "tackling" Emmy! We all sang "Happy Bday" to Philip, ate cake, and then crashed after long, busy Mondays!!
Happy Birthday to the world's best principal, daddy, and husband!! We love him with all our heart!
