Happy Thanksgiving!

We were supposed to have my parents and Emily up for Thanksgiving (and my Mom's bday) this year, but sadly, my Mom got sick on Monday with strep throat. Although she will be better to come visit this weekend, my parents were scared to come on Thanksgiving because we didn't want to risk getting the boys sick. Luckily, Dad had prepared some sides and brought them up last weekend, and Michelle made us a sweet potato casserole, so all we were missing was the turkey.

Philip decided to take on the challenge and bake our family of four a turkey! His Dad was still visiting until late this morning and helped Philip get the turkey baking! Philip did a wonderful job, and even though we had a change in plans and really missed visiting all our extended family for Thanksgiving, we were very thankful to get to spend the day together as a family with our sweet boys.

We sure had a wonderful Thanksgiving, celebrating all our blessings this year. The Lord has blessed us in so many ways!
