So I'm just a little behind on the blog...okay so 4 months behind...better late than never! :)
This year we decided to go on a Thanksgiving adventure! BB joined us on our adventure to Washington D.C. and New York City! We were SO excited for our adventure that we left at 3 a.m. on the Saturday morning of our break! We took the scenic route through Virginia and were so glad we did! The drive was BEAUTIFUL!
When we arrived, we ate lunch at Longhorns and headed to our first museum, The Air and Space Museum! It was AWESOME! In fact, Philip said it was his new favorite Smithsonian museum!
Our next day in D.C. brought lots of fun sight seeing! We went to several museums including the American History Museum and the Natural History Museum.
Our second full day in DC we went to Arlington National Cemetery. We then explored Georgetown, and BB watched the boys so Philip and I could have a date night! She was such a great help the whole trip! We loved having her join us!
We spent our final day in D.C. exploring the monuments and the Museum of the American Indians. We also were able to get a behind the scenes tour of the capital by one of Philip's friends from high school. He even got us access to house floor and the speaker's balcony! Such an amazing experience!
Ready to head to NYC.The picture above is what we decided to leave in the car and NOT bring into the hotel in NYC. The picture below is the luggage we decided to keep for NYC! We downsized quite a bit! :)
