We left Wednesday morning and headed to NYC! We drove into the city, ate a late lunch, and headed to the Children's Museum of Manhattan. We headed to Times Square for dinner and enjoyed an awesome city view from the window of Bubba Gump Shrimp Company while we ate!
On Thanksgiving Day we went to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade! Philip woke up early and grabbed us a front row spot in Union Circle! Then the boys and I headed over around 7:00 to help him secure our spot. It was a bit of a wait until the parade passed us around 9:30, but we passed the time watching movies on my phone and the clowns roller skate by! The parade was awesome, and the boys still talk about it and the big balloons they saw! Lincoln got pretty tired, so Philip took him back up to the rooftop of our hotel and watched the parade from the warm spot with couches!
Thanksgiving afternoon was spent walking around Central Parking and checking out the Christmas decorations within the city!
The big boys were worn out!
We ended up crashing the evening of Thanksgiving around 6 p.m., and we all woke up at midnight and decided we were ready to drive home! We all took turns driving and resting! We made a couple of pit stops at Duke and Cracker Barrel, and we made it home Saturday by 4 p.m.! What a wonderful trip! In fact, the boys tell me often that they miss Washington D.C. and New York City so much! Landon asked if we could move there and wrote about 10 pages of stories and information from the trip in writing once we returned! I can't wait for us to watch the Thanksgiving Day parade next year with so many special memories from when we were able to see the parade in real life!!
