Icy Week

Last week was an icy week for us. We had lots of predictions of snow, but only ended up with a light dusting early in the week, and a faux SNOW day half day on Wednesday and all day Thursday. It of course turned out to be a blessing, because we got some much needed rest!

During the week, I did a couple of fun things with the boys after school waiting for Philip to get off work. I've found that just going home does not usually work for me, because I get too tired and just want to fall asleep. It's better if we go do something fun!

So last Monday we went to the mall and the jumpy place. We haven't been to the mall in FOREVER, and the boys were so funny about how much they loved it! Landon kept saying, "Mom! The mall is so much fun! We should come here every day that it's open!" Haha! He really loved getting to pick greasy chinese food from the food court!

On our 1/2 day Wednesday (Philip didn't get off as early as we did), I took the boys to the movies to see Paddington. It wasn't even predicted to start preciptating of any kind until 5 or 6 at night, so I figured it be better to do something just in case we got stuck in the house later! The movie was super cute, and the boys were so surprised at this little treat after I picked them up early from school!

We were sure praying for snow, but it was still nice to have some bonus time together even without our house becoming a winter wonderland!
