The boys are just in love with Lincoln! From the moment they
met him, they were obsessed!
When they first met Lincoln in the hospital, they both
wanted to hold him. After Owen had been holding him a while, I asked him if he
was all done. He cracked me up when he said, “I not all done, mommy.” Landon just kept telling him that he loved
him and kissing all over him! My favorite too was when he pointed out where
Lincoln, Mommy, and Daddy would sleep in the hospital room, but wondered where
he and Owen would sleep.
Now that we are at home, they are still obsessed with him. They only want to be wherever Lincoln is in the house and just can't get enough of him!
The other night at dinner, Lincoln was laying in our room asleep. We had already put the boys’ food at the table and Philip and I were fixing our own plates. When we turned around, Landon was gone. He had taken his plate into our room and was just sitting in the bed beside Lincoln eating his dinner. Now we just bring Lincoln wherever we are in the house! Haha! He also keeps drawing him lots of pictures and making up songs about how much he loves him. On more than one occasion, I have caught him kissing him and telling him, “I’m your big brother. I will always take care of you. I promise.” I know he got it from a commercial that comes on, but I can’t help but almost cry every time I hear it!
Owen has done really well with Lincoln too. He loves to kiss
him and asks numerous times a day to hold him. If he starts crying, Owen starts
patting him and saying, “It’s okay, Lincoln! It’s okay!” He had one little melt
down early this week and wanted me to hold him and just couldn’t quit getting
upset over things, so I made sure to slow down, stop and snuggle him for a
while, and he’s been fine ever since. Now, I try to make sure I am giving him
some attention though and lots of hugs, kisses, and snuggles!
These three boys are so lucky to have each other, and are
going to have so much fun growing up together. Philip and I love each of them
so, so much!
