I Heart Maternity Leave

Ahhh! This week of maternity leave has been so nice! I started to feel like myself again, which was just wonderful! Once again, I have a gagillion pictures of Lincoln in this post! It is basically all I do all day! Haha!  Everytime I look at him, I think..." Oh! Look how cute! I have got to take a picture of him!"

We had an excellent weekend, and Popsy started off the weekend with us with a little trip to Inokos on Friday night and beignets on Saturday before he headed back to Valdosta. Emily and Hunter also brought us a delicious dinner on Saturday evening, and we loved getting to see them and play with them for a little while! On Sunday, the weather was gorgeous, so we got out for a little family outing to the park!

Linc and I have had a blast snuggling and hanging out all week! The weather during the early part of the week was really nice, so we got out a bit to the Bundles of Joy class, Lowes, and Target. At Bundles of Job, Linc was a champ, drinking 3 ounces and weighing in at 9 lbs!! When we were out and about, Lincoln LOVED the moby wrap, so I would carry him around in that if  I went somewhere to keep him safe, protected, and close to Mommy. One morning, I had a date with all three of my little boys at Chick fila, which was fun! Lincoln and I also went to lunch with my neighbor friend Hilary at a yummy new place downtown called, The Place. We are slowly starting to get out a little bit to keep us from going stir crazy in the house!

It was St. Patrick's Day this week, so I prepared a little scavenger hunt around the house for the boys. They were OBSESSED with it and finding clues around the house! At the end, I had a treasure of coloring books, oreos, and the boys' favorite crayons. After the hunt, Landon had a blast making his own scavenger hunt around the house with lots of clues!

(Caught sweet big brother sharing his leprechaun treat from school with his little brother)

Lincoln is such a good baby and loves for Mommy to hold him, so I have actually been able to get a ton done this week while snuggling him in my arms! This week I graded a set of assignments from my UGA class, responded to a ton of discussion posts, and wrote chapter 3 of my action research paper for my Rising Stars class, all while holding little Linc in my arms! Yes! :)  This again is why I LOVE maternity leave! Nothing better than snuggling a baby ALL day!!!

We have been so blessed by friends and family this week with meals from Emily and Hunter, the front office staff at NOHS, the Estes family, and the Meltons! My friend Isabelle also taught my UGA class for me this week! What blessings to our little family!

As you can tell, I am THOROUGHLY enjoying my maternity leave! Next week, the boys will transition to half time at daycare, so they will get to join in the fun with Linc and I two days a week! Now we just have to pray that the next five weeks will go by incredibly SLOWLY.... :)
