My Little Elephant

Don't they say an elephant never forgets? Well, Landon has begun to develop quite the memory these past few months! I've been using him to help me remind myself and Philip of things and usually if I ask him to remember, he often does!

Yesterday he and Philip came home from grocery shopping. As they walked through the door, I said, "Oh no! I forgot to tell you that we need laundry detergent!" Philip didn't say anything, but smiled and walked to the trunk to unload the rest of the groceries. As he walked out, Landon exclaimed, "I told Daddy that we needed laundry detergent. But he said, 'no! we don't need it.' But I told him we did!" I thought he was making it up, and then in comes Philip with a container of laundry detergent. Apparently Landon had convinced him. 

I was AMAZED! During the snowcation, I was washing something and I randomly said to Landon, "Oh no! We are almost out of laundry detergent! We'll have to get some at the store!" He remembered that conversation several days later and thought to tell Philip at the store! 

Crazy! This is going to be so nice having someone else to remember things these days! Except I guess I really can't make any "fake promises!" He'll surely remember!

And another bonus story you get is of these two cuties cutting up this morning in their bed. Landon snuck over to "check" on his brother (which really means he woke him up!) and Philip and I caught them being so cute playing in Owen's crib! The pictures are from me peeking through the door! I should have videoed the things Landon was saying to Owen! "How are you today brother?" 

I just love their love for each other!
