What's Going Down with the Browns?: Our Week in Valdosta

Last week, Landon and I went to Valdosta to visit family and friends while Philip stayed home working hard at work and on his dissertation! He also successfully got the house rented. Whoop! Whoop!

We had a great visit! Our drive down to Valdosta was very smooth! Landon slept for the first 3 hours or so and just hung out in the back seat the last hour listening to the music and looking out the window. I kept waiting for him to cry before I stopped, but he didn't cry until we got off the exit! We ate lunch with my parents (Popsy and Lolo) and Michelle and Austin at Chick-Fil-a. Then went back to Michelle's house for a playdate! Landon and I loved seeing some of our Valdosta friends and their babies!

When BB got off of work, we went over to her house to play and spend the night. Landon had a great time like always! BB also put him to bed, so I got to go to sleep early and not wake up until 7! It was awesome!

The next day, Landon and I woke up early and went to Wild Adventures with Popsy, Lolo, Michelle, and Austin. We had such a great day! We rode the train, saw lots of animals, rode rides, and went to the waterpark! The boys loved the entire day, but the water park was the highlight of the day!

Forget the calm animals! Landon wanted to pet the turkey! He thought it was a duck. He kept saying, "duck" and followed it around until the worker caught it and let him pet it.

Landon chose this horse! I tried to get him to pick the more masculine horses, but he was adamant that he wanted this one! He kept pointing and whining every time I would try to get him to pick a different horse! Boys can like pink too!

The boys loved Splash Island the best! This was when we first got in. The boys had only been in for about 5 minutes when we had to get out because of lightening. They were so sad! We just had to wait about 20 minutes, then back in for fun!

There were two rows of different shapes shooting out water. Landon would crawl back and forth along the lines, touching each shape. I'm not sure what that means....

That night we spent the night at my parents' house and had my birthday celebration! My parents really spoil for birthdays, so I got a special meal, a cookie cake, and fun presents!! Michelle, Trent, and Austin came over too!

We bought the boys matching outfits. They looked so cute! But it was hard to get a picture with both boys looking!

On Thursday, Michelle and I had a girls day! Landon and Austin stayed with Trent's aunt (since all the grandparents had to work). While the boys were having fun playing at Jana's, Michelle and I got pedicures, had lunch, and went shopping! What a glorious day spent with my sis!! That night I had a class reunion planning meeting (BB watched Landon for me during the meeting) and then spent the night at Michelle and Trent's house.

Even though Austin is only 5 months older than Landon, he decided that he needed to help him and be his big cousin. He kept feeding Landon, and Landon would let him. It was HILARIOUS!

Friday was our last day. Mr. Melvin (Grandaddy) came over to play with Landon. We all took the boys on a walk to see the horses in Michelle's neighborhood. Landon loved the Alpacas. He also loved to learn new sounds from the horses! He kept trying to mimick the horse vibrating his lips. Landon and I then took a long nap to prepare for our long drive home.

Before we left, we enjoyed lunch with BB and Jake. Then we took Landon to play on the playground in the mall to get worn out for the drive home. He loved it and had so much fun playing with Jake! My mom stopped by to give us a hug goodbye!
