Greecian Adventure: Part 1

In early May, Philip and I decided that we could really use a vacation...just the two of us! We have only done this one other time, and when Philip's mom offered to watch the kids for Memorial Day weekend, we jumped at the chance! Then we knew that my parents and Melvin would want to watch the kids for a few days too, so our idea of a little vacation turned into an awesome, bucket-list vacation!

We ended up traveling to Greece and had the MOST wonderful time! We loved being able to see the historical sights and tour the city one day, and then go to the beach the next day!

We spent the first two days in Greece exploring the city. While we usually do the trolley/bus tours, we ended up just walking and exploring everything on our own because it was all in really close proximity. We were simply amazed by the beauty of Ancient Greece!

Ready to go!

We made it!

Exploring the city!

View from the top of the museum

We found an awesome rooftop restaurant with the best view of the Temple of Olympian Zeus

As we walked through the Plaka area, there were ruins all intermixed with restaurants and stores

Day 2

National Gardens

Parliament-- Changing of the Gaurds

Yummy Gyros!

We went inside the Acropolis and were excited to see the many amazing historical sites from ancient times.

After touring the Acropolis, we had a charming dinner with a gorgeous view!

Then we walked a bit and found the Panhellenic Stadium
