Christmas 2015

Christmastime was just wonderful! Everyone arrived on December 23rd to start the holiday fun! We were so excited to have Casey, Grandaddy, and BB at our home for Christmas! We spent the rainy, warm days at home inside playing, cooking, and watching movies!

On Christmas eve, we had lots of fun in the kitchen! The boys helped me make our traditional "Backes" family cornbread. Casey made a yummy sweet potato casserole! The boys even wore their super cute new aprons from BB!

Wrapping presents

Pretending to be Santa and the Grinch! And poor KJ got to be Max!

After all the cooking and naps, we headed to church! Trying to get a family picture with everyone smiling was quite challenging! Haha!

When we got home, we ate dinner, baked cookies for Santa, and read "The True Story of Christmas!" The boys went to sleep early so Santa could come! Seeing their excitement for Santa's arrival was just wonderful! We also tried to spend a lot of time talking about the story of Jesus' birth and help the kids to understand the real reason we celebrate!

On Christmas morning, I think all the adults woke up by 5, anticipating the little boys waking up! Haha! Finally around 6 they awoke! They ran downstairs and just loved all of their presents! The rest of the day was spent playing with presents, eating our Christmas feast, and of course taking a nice long nap!!

What a wonderful Christmas celebration, and we were glad to spend this special time with so many special people!
