Fun in New Orleans

After visiting family in Baton Rouge, we headed over to New Orleans! We stayed at a great hotel right next to the French Quarter, and enjoyed all that New Orleans has to offer for a family of 5!


On Monday we woke up super early, walked to Cafe Du Monde for beignets, rode the streetcar, and spent the day at the zoo. We took late afternoon naps at the hotel, and then headed to Mulates for delicious cajun food and dancing!

Tuesday we went back to Cafe Du Monde for beignets, but this time ate them by the river. We walked around for a bit, and then went to the Children's Museum. The kiddos LOVED the museum and probably could have stayed for another 2 hours! We took naps, and then went down to Canal Street for the street lighting ceremony. After the ceremony we went to eat at Bubba Gumps. 

We had a blast in New Orleans and loved enjoying our travels together as a family. Of course there were some moments of stress and exhaustion, but those were quite insignificant compared to all the snuggles, smiles, laughs, and wonderful memories made!
