Last Family Summer Adventure!

We had to close out summer with a little family adventure, and where better to adventure than to see Emmy in Asheville! We all had a blast exploring, eating out, dancing, and wading in the creek! The boys especially loved mining for gems, as they begged to do this as soon as they found out we were heading to Asheville! Emmy, Philip, and I loved our evening of laughing on the front porch after we put the kids to bed! What a wonderful way to send off our glorious summer together!

Exploring the city of Chimney Rock!

The best part of the trip was that Philip was convinced he brought his keys, and that I must have thrown them away accidentally when I threw away the trash from our van trash can at a gas station in a random town in North Carolina. We even stopped at the gas station on the way home for him to search the trash! Haha! 

But here they were on the floor of the garage! He had put them down when he plugged the boys' gator into the wall and forgot to pick them back up! :) So glad we found them and saved a few hundred dollars!
