Easter weekend was a blast! It began with Easter egg hunts at the boys' school. I loved getting to go to the hunts and watch the boys have fun with all their friends! Popsy and Lolo came up to celebrate with us beginning on Friday evening. Right when they arrived, Philip, Popsy, and the big boys went to enjoy the weather and play golf!
On Saturday, we went to the botanical gardens to enjoy the spring weather and had a lovely picnic on the grounds. We headed back to the house for the afternoon, made a bunny cake, and grilled out. Hunter's parents joined us for dinner Saturday night and Easter Sunday, so we had a busy household! My favorite part of Saturday afternoon was Mom and Landon making a path for the Easter bunny all the way down our driveway that they called, "The Bunny Trail!" I think they worked on the path for over an hour before placing a carrot at the end of the trail!
On Sunday morning, we woke up to a visit from the Easter bunny! Not only had he eaten the carrot, but he hid eggs all down the "Bunny trail!" Then went to church and came home to a delicious Easter dinner. It was a wonderful weekend celebrating the miracle of Jesus' resurrection, and made even more special by the time we got to celebrate with family!
