The Brown boys are so excited about being big brothers soon!
Philip and I got them baby dolls this week so they could practice their big
brothering skills before Lincoln’s arrival! My goodness have they had fun with their
“Lincolns” ...dressing them, feeding them, rocking them, playing basketball with
them, etc.! They are mostly gentle with them, but then they’ll do something
crazy like try to feed them cereal, and I’ll say, “Boys, you can’t feed Lincoln
cereal.” Then Landon will respond, “But Mommy! This Lincoln is just a doll. He’s
not real!” Haha!
On Wednesday, the boys and I went to a big brother class at the
hospital. It was fantastic. They learned all about being a big brother, got to
see a newborn baby in the nursery, and were able to tour a hospital room just
like Mommy will be in! I think this is going to be so helpful for when Lincoln
makes his big arrival for the boys being comfortable and calm coming to visit.
We had a great night at the class, other than that poor Philip got diagnosed
with the flu that same afternoon and couldn’t come with us. I luckily survived
the class by myself (which was actually for 3-7 year olds) and even had several
people comment to me how smart and well-behaved the boys were. Praise the Lord! They are just
so excited about being big brothers, that they soaked everything up! In fact,
on the way home, Landon said, “Mommy. Tell me everything about the class.” He
wanted a play by play of everything they did and wanted to review all the
things they had learned. Just pure cuteness!
