This week was back to school! We had a busy week with
pre-planning, and Philip’s students came back on Wednesday. The boys did well at school, and they seem to
like their new teachers. Owen is doing great in his class except with drop offs
in the morning. He loves to play with his friends and enjoys dancing, wearing
the costumes, and playing outside. Landon is enjoying the “super hero” theme in
his new class. He has been learning so much and doing great with behavior. On
the chart, they start off on green and can move up for making extra good
choices. He’s been getting to spidey powers, and Philip was super proud on Friday to see
him on “Super Hero” when he picked him up from school! After their first “official”
day back at school, Landon was so cute and said, “Mommy, if we had a magic
wand, we could turn me back into a baby so I could be in Owen’s class.” Sweet
boys miss being together all day, every day!
Even with busy work time, we had the chance to squeeze in some fun in the afternoons. We went to the park, roasted marshmallows, and played outside. We also celebrated my Dad’s bday this week. We were sad we didn’t get to see him in person, but we did get to face time with him. He had a great bday though at the beach, and hopefully we’ll get to see him in person soon and spoil him for a late bday!! I also took my sweet mentee back to school shopping and on a
scavenger hunt at “Five and Below” for the craziest items! We had so much fun!
On Friday, football season started with a scrimmage game against Oconee High. North Oconee beat them 30 something to nothing, and the kids had a blast watching the game! Landon talked about it all week!! Grandaddy was able to come up, which was so much fun! On Saturday we did lots of work around the house, played, and went fishing. Landon was SO excited to catch his first fish!!! Sunday afternoon we had Burke’s bday!
