We gave Landon several choices for his birthday. He knew that he wanted to celebrate at the climbing place in town! I told him that he could choose to have a party with friends or a family party. We weighed the pros and cons, and ultimately he decided that he wanted to have a family party so he could climb the wall as much as he wanted! A family party also involved cake and presents at home and the birthday boy's choice of dinner! We had a blast celebrating our Lan Man, and really enjoyed our time together as a family!
While it is so much fun to have a huge friend celebration, there is something really special about being able to just focus on the birthday kid and how special he is with nothing/nobody else to take your attention!
The celebration began on Thursday night with a Wild Kratts themed celebration including cupcakes, presents, and playing outside with his new toys!
Friday was Landon's actual birthday! Afterschool we went to eat dinner at Chuck E Cheese, then on to the local climbing place for two hours of fun! Daddy learned how to belay the kiddos, and he just let them climb and climb to their heart's content!
We also celebrated into the next week with his class party (with his other April birthday friend) the next Friday and birthday dinner at Inokos! They sang him a Japenese happiness song and gave him a yummy cupcake!
I think our Lanny Manny had a SUPER birthday and felt incredibly loved!
